As a life-long obsessive crafter, I love learning new crafts. I've dabbled in sewing, needle-felting, composting, DIY cleaning products, body products, and a bunch of other odd things. I've had customers ask about the process, and the basics are pretty simple. "Don't you just melt some wax and pour it?" Well ... yes ... but there is a little bit more to it than that, so now it's my turn to share.
You can learn how to make soy wax candles—in addition to creating your own fragrance—at my Dabble Soy Wax Candle Making Class, hosted by the charming boutique Paperish Mess. (And while you're there, you can enjoy a 10% discount on any of the lovely locally made art and handmade goods.)
I have had a blast leading the class, and continue to be inspired by my students' creations. Thanks to these sessions, you'll see Rose cropping into a few new fragrance blends I'm working on, including Desert Rose: a sumptuous combination of Rose, Aloe, Clover, and Vanilla.
Here are a few pictures of what they have made (I'm a huge fan of that honey bear).
